The influences of Whitehead

[edit]

Having just finished Process and Reality, I notice how influenced Whitehead is by Descartes. This manifests itself in many ways, not least his mission to develop a system that does away with the original Cartesian subject-object dichotomy. Given such, I was thinking it would be highly relevant to include Descartes in Whitehead's list of influences. The rest seem to be there (Hume, Locke, Kant, Bergson, ...), and it seems the addition of Descartes would complete this picture. 62.28.166.121 (talk) 09:04, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

GA concerns

[edit]

I am concerned that this article no longer meets the good article criteria. Some of my concerns are listed below:

  • The article has lots of uncited statements, including entire paragraphs.
  • The article has an overreliance on block quotes, negatively affecting the prose of the article.

Is anyone willing to address the above concerns, or should this go to WP:GAR? Z1720 (talk) 03:49, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
